The homework limit can be from 30 minutes to 1 hour. Most of the time you will receive short homework, it may be a big project but it will depend. Example:

Essays, reading, journals, powerpoints, Worksheets.

The purpose of setting homework is to: 

• To gain knowledge and skills.

• enables the student to get used to working independently 

• help students to develop the skills, perseverance, and self discipline to become independent 

learners. 

• help students to meet particular school demands, such as working to deadlines. 

• help parents/guardians to become involved in the management of their child’s/ward’s school 

work. 

The Process 

• Students are expected to use a (school) homework diary to record their homework.  

Homework for each day is also displayed ‘online’.  Parents have access to this information 

through the OFS web-site. 

• It is the student’s responsibility to submit all homework by the set time. 

• Any valid reason which prevents the completion of homework must be supported with a 

signed and dated letter from a parent.  Where possible, a contact phone number and/or an 

email address should be provided. 

• The teacher will keep a record of whether the homework has been completed by the agreed 

deadline. 

• It is expected that all homework is completed, even if it has not been submitted by the due 

date. 

1. It’s your right:

Work, learn and achieve successes with the environment. reach your goals, be treated with respect and keep clean, pleasant for the whole day. Be a good member of the school which is valued by parents.

2. Responsibilities: 

• respecting the rights of others
• arriving on time, being late could get you in detention
• be cooperative with people
• no bullying
• avoiding any behavior that hurts, embarrasses, upsets or discomforts anyone.
• ask for permission to use someone else’s propety.
• obey the singapore laws
• no smoking or drinking
• comply with the ofs uniform policy which is the dress code.

Computer Policy:

1. students will get their own accounts and will be able to access to the computers
2. they should respect the property and privacy of all other users.

• never use streaming websites
• dont access to an account that doesn’t belong to you.
• if you see a student that have left his computer on and left, just log out. don’t use the account!
• passwords should be hard to guess, so it should have numbers and symbols.
• no plagiarize 
• don’t print junk, so no waste of paper.

1. Fail, the lowest grade that you can get.
2. Poor, It shows very poor skills and knowledge.
3. Mediocre, some satisfactory understanding of the knowledge.
4. Satisfactory, average, general understanding and knowledge.
5. Good, good understanding and skills, great knowledge and was able to apply them affectively.
6. Very good, consistent good knowledge and skills, if you get a 6 it means you’re understanding very well and achieved good quality.
7. Excellent, a grade of 7 is the highest you get, its the perfect mark and has achieved all of the points mentioned before.
